West Lebanon, Ind (CNS) Mrs Mae Kennedy, 79, of West Lebanon, died at 6:45 a.m. today (Jan 19, 1968) at Lake View Memorial Hospital, Danville, where she had been a patient 11 days. She had been in ill health four years. Born July 4, 1888 in Perrysville, she was the daughter of John and Polly Hester Long. Mrs. Kennedy was married in 1908 to Grover Allen who died in 1930. She then married Alec Kennedy in 1937, who preceded her in death in 1958. Also preceding her in death were her parents, a daughter and two sisters. Surviving are two sons, Richard Allen and Walter Allen, both of West Lebanon, a daughter, Mrs. Treva Morran, Paris, Ill.,; a brother Charley Long, Attica; three sisters, Vivian Ratcliff, and Della Wilhite, both of Veedersburg, Beatrice Osborne of Indianapolis; eight grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. A former resident of the Stringtown and Cates communities, Mrs. Kennedy had lived in West Lebanon 30 years. Friends will be received at the Bodine & Shelby Funeral Home, Covington, Saturday afternoon and evening. Services will be at 2 p.m. EST Sunday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Alfred Dobbs officiating. Burial will be in Coal Creek Cemetery.
